Dr. Abdul Salam

(DVM)

Dr. Salam is one of the partners of the clinic. He obtained his DVM in Canada in 2005. He worked as a small animal veterinarian in different clinics in Edmonton. He finished his veterinary schooling abroad in 1987 and worked as a mixed animal practitioner for 14 years including seven years of experience as a zoo veterinarian. He was also a consultant to the Department of Forestry of India, including lion safari, deer parks, crocodile protection center, etc. He is a caring husband and father of two girls. He enjoys hiking and traveling with his family and friends.

Dr. Koshy George

(DVM)

Dr. Koshy is one of the partners of Montrose Pet Clinic. He got his DVM in 2007 and thereafter he worked as a small animal veterinarian in 2 busy clinics in Alberta. He completed his veterinary school in 1991 and worked as a mixed animal veterinarian for 12 years abroad. He took his Master’s in Business administration in 2000 and was involved with multiple provincial projects abroad. His major area of interest is small animal clinical medicine and he got training through VSTEP program of the University of Guelph. He partnered in Clareview Casselman Pet clinic from the beginning and helped to make the project a reality. He is living in West Edmonton with his wife and two kids.

Dr. Imran Shah

(DVM)

Dr. Imran Shah is one of the associate veterinarians at Montrose pet clinic who is currently working as a limited practice veterinarian. He obtained his D.V.M abroad in 2003 and worked as a mixed animal practitioner for 4 years before joining the University of Calgary Faculty of veterinary medicine as a research associate in 2008-2011, where he was involved in the development of a gastric by-pass model of surgery and ileal transposition in rodents and their impact on the circulatory concentration of peptide YY and Ghrelin. He enjoys working with small animals and is passionate when it comes to providing top-quality animal care.

Rene Werenka

(Vet Assistant/Reception)

Rene is a working mother of 3 boys. She has been working in the pet industry for a number of years with a primary focus on retail and sales. She transitioned to vet care as she enjoys helping provide animals with the opportunity for better health. Rene has been around animals and has owned them her whole life. Her favourite things are donuts, adorable pets, and cracking jokes.

Angela Manhard

(Vet Assistant/Reception)

Angela’s passion has always been working with people and pets. She joined the pet clinic because she has always been treated like family here and this is a value she genuinely cherishes. Angela has been a breeder for a number of years, and brings that extensive knowledge to the team, but has a constant drive to learn more. In her spare time, she enjoys going to Canmore, Florida, and going camping with her family.

Jocelyn Falls

Jocelyn is a mother of one and expectant mother of a second baby. She has a little funny farm located outside of Millet with many different breeds of animals including but not limited to 6 dogs and 10 cats, most of which have been rescued over the years. She used to be a carpenter before changing fields to chase her passion for helping animals. She has now been working in the veterinary field as a veterinary technical assistant for almost 5 years but has worked with animals and rescues since she was a young girl. With the farm she does not have much extra time for hobbies but when she can she loves to go camping and taking hikes and adventures with her family and friends. She dreams to one day open her own animal rescue that will help animals of all shapes and sizes.

Brook-Lynn Labelle

Ever since kindergarten I have always wanted to be a veterinarian or to work in the animal industry, to this day that is still my goal. I came from working at a couple other clinics in Alberta and am now with Montrose Pet Clinic where I am learning lots and improving my skills while working along side a lovely staff. Aside from the animal work life I also have animals of my own which includes dogs, horses, a cat and a reptile in which I carry equal interest in all and they keep me busy. on my free time you can find me taking my dogs to the lake, riding my horses or going on a trip to the mountains.

Deanna Cross

(Vet Assistant/Reception)

Deanna is a mom to 3 adult children and grandma to 1 grandson. She worked extensively in human healthcare in BC, but is new in the field of animal health. She graduated from Ashworth University’s Veterinarian Assistant Program in 2022. She has been involved in animal welfare in Alberta since 2019, and provides a foster home for several animal rescues. When she isn’t working or helping rescues, she spends her time with her family, 2 dogs – Tarja & Kassian, 2 cats – Trouble & Chaos and the current foster pup – Daisy

Jazmine

(VOA/ Reception)

Jazmine has always been an animal lover. She grew up on an acreage and always had animals around, mainly dogs and cats. She found her passion when she lost her dog Buddy back in 2018. She used to work at a dog daycare and decided to expand her knowledge. She loves horror movies, nail polish, music and traveling in her free time. She currently has two cats Misty and Sophie, and one dog Mrs. Wellington.
